Applications-Where Single PCR Tubes Are Used

Standard PCR Amplification

Thin-wall construction ensures rapid, uniform heat transfer, reducing non-specific amplification. Compatible with all standard thermal cyclers that accept 0.2 mL or 0.5 mL tubes.

Sample Storage & Archiving

Secure sealing prevents evaporation and contamination. Suitable for short-term storage of DNA/RNA at -20°C or -80°C.

General Laboratory Use

Ideal for preparing master mixes, dilutions, or as small reaction vessels.

Which is better: PCR tubes or PCR strips?

High-volume search intent: “difference between PCR tube and strip”, “individual PCR tube vs strip advantages”.

FeatureIndividual PCR TubePCR Strip (8-tube)
FlexibilityHigh – use any number of tubesMedium – must use entire strip
Sample numberLow to mediumHigh throughput
Cost per reactionLowerSlightly higher
Best forResearch, small batches, optimization, QC testingRoutine high-throughput PCR, screening
qPCR compatibilityCheck instrument – some qPCR cyclers accept individual tubes, others require strips or platesOften compatible with qPCR blocks

Recommendation: For maximum flexibility and cost efficiency in small-scale experiments, individual PCR tubes are ideal. For high-throughput qPCR or routine screening, consider PCR strips or 96-well plates.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) and pricing structure?

MOQ is 1 carton (10,000 tubes for 0.2 mL, 5,000 tubes for 0.5 mL). Volume discounts available for 5+ cartons. Contact us for a customized quote.

Can I get free samples before bulk purchase?

Yes – we offer sample packs for evaluation. Shipping fee may apply for international orders, but samples are free.

Are these PCR tubes sterile?

They are not pre-sterilized but are DNase/RNase/pyrogen free. They can be autoclaved (121°C, 20 min) before use if sterility is required.

Can I use these tubes for real-time PCR (qPCR)?

These tubes are designed for standard PCR. For qPCR requiring fluorescence detection, we recommend using dedicated optical tubes or strips. Please verify compatibility with your instrument’s optics before use.

Will these tubes fit my thermal cycler?

0.2 mL tubes fit most standard 96-well blocks (Bio-Rad, Thermo, Eppendorf, etc.). 0.5 mL tubes fit older cyclers that use 0.5 mL format – check your instrument manual. See compatibility table above.

What is the advantage of thin-wall design?

Thinner walls reduce heat transfer resistance, improving temperature uniformity and ramping speed – leading to more efficient, specific amplification.

How are the tubes tested for DNase/RNase and pyrogen?

Each batch is tested using standard methods to ensure no detectable DNase, RNase, or endotoxin activity. Certificates of analysis are available upon request.

Can I get OEM labeling or custom packaging?

Yes – private label, custom printing on bags, or bulk non-bagged packaging. MOQ for OEM: 5 cartons. Contact us for details.

Do you provide certificates of analysis (COA)?

Yes – batch-specific COA showing DNase, RNase, and pyrogen testing is available upon request.
