Description of Hydrophobic PTFE Syringe Filters
Made of PTFE, a syringe filter of this kind can be divided into hydrophobic and hydrophilic ones. Hydrophobic PTFE syringe filters have strong chemical resistance and good heat resistance. Compared with other filter materials, it has a higher flow rate, and lower protein adsorption. Suitable for filtering microorganisms, steam, and various corrosive liquids.
The membrane of the hydrophobic PTFE syringe filter is chemically resistant to almost all solvents. They can be used together with corrosive media such as strong acids, alcohols, alkalis, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc.
This filter is ready-to-use and allowed for simple, fast and reliable super-cleaning of small volume samples for HPLC or GC analysis. They can also be used to prevent moisture from passing through air vents. Organic filter membranes, suitable for organic solvent medium samples (including strong acid, strong alkali) and organic solvent filtration sterilization, and has the widest solvent compatibility, excellent particle retention performance, resistance to various sterilization conditions, and is suitable for the filtration of liquids and gases. Generally tolerates the range of pH 1-14.
