White vs Transparent for qPCR
White plates (opaque TiO₂-pigmented) enhance fluorescence signal reflection, increasing signal-to-noise ratio.
Transparent plates allow direct visual inspection of sample color and precipitation.
Recommendation: For routine qPCR, white plates are generally preferred. For ABI instruments, verify optical compatibility before full-scale use.
