1. Open the cap of the bottle containing the Spotting Capillary Tubes, remove the inner liner film from the cap, and then re-cap the bottle. Place the bottle horizontally and shake it gently from side to side. The capillary tubes will protrude from the small hole in the center of the cap. Take out the capillary tube.
2. Gently insert the capillary tube into the small hole in the silicone head at the front end of the sample applicator, leaving one-third of the tube protruding.
3. Insert the capillary tube into the sample liquid. The liquid will automatically be drawn into the capillary tube, completing the sample uptake. (Note: Do not use the silicone cap to draw the sample.)
4. Gently touch the TLC plate surface with the filled capillary tube. The liquid will automatically be adsorbed by the TLC plate, completing the spotting.
5. This method is suitable for spot application. If a strip shape spot is required, spot the sample from left to right multiple times to create a strip shape spot. This method minimizes diffusion during the development process and provides better separation. It is recommended for use.
6. If the capillary tube is blocked by solid particles, cover the small hole on the spherical silicone cap at the top of the sample applicator with your index finger. Gently squeeze the silicone cap with your thumb and index finger to release the solid particles.
