What Is an Empty SPE Cartridge?
An empty SPE cartridge is a polypropylene tube with pre-inserted PE frits, designed for custom packing of your own sorbent (silica, polymer, mixed-mode, etc.). Used for method development, OEM private label production, teaching, and large-volume sample processing. Ready to use – no washing required.

How to Pack Empty SPE Cartridges
- Ensure lower frit is seated flat.
- Weigh and add dry sorbent (e.g., 100 mg, 500 mg, 1 g). Tap gently.
- (Optional) Place a second frit on top to secure the bed.
- Condition and use -identical workflow to pre-filled commercial cartridges.
