Hawach Amino Acid HPLC column is a dedicated reversed-phase column specifically optimized for the separation of 18 common proteinogenic amino acids after pre-column derivatization. It is manufactured from ultra-high purity (>99.999 %) Type B silica with a unique bonding chemistry and double end-capping, ensuring excellent peak shape and reproducibility for polar amino acids.
Typical analysis time: 30 minutes per sample.
Supports multiple derivatization workflows:
Applications include: biopharmaceutical cell culture monitoring, protein hydrolysate analysis, food & feed nutritional profiling, and clinical diagnostics.

5 μm – conventional HPLC, longer lifetime, lower pressure. 3 μm – higher resolution, faster runs, requires higher pressure (≥ 6000 psi).
Yes, for most QC and biopharma applications. It offers faster run times and lower instrument cost. For complex matrices or certain regulatory methods, ion-exchange may still be preferred.
Recommended for first-time setups or method switches. Includes column, derivatization reagents, 18-amino acid standards, and protocol.
Standard dimensions (4.6*250 mm, 5 μm) are in stock and ship within 3-5 business days. Custom dimensions or bulk orders require 2-3 weeks. Contact sales@hawach.com for current stock status.
Yes. We offer private labeling, custom packaging, and bulk OEM manufacturing. Minimum order quantity applies. Contact our OEM team at sales@hawach.com with your specifications.
Yes. This dedicated Amino Acid column is a direct performance equivalent to Waters AccQ•Tag, Agilent Zorbax Eclipse AAA, and Phenomenex Luna C18 columns for 18-amino acid analysis. It uses the same AQC (or OPA/PITC) derivatization workflow and produces comparable resolution, retention times, and peak shapes.
For most QC and routine methods, no full revalidation is required because the column meets USP L1 specifications and produces similar selectivity. However, we strongly recommend a simple system suitability test (e.g., 5-6 injections of an 18-amino acid standard) to confirm column performance under your specific conditions. For GMP methods, follow your internal change control protocol – typically minor verification is sufficient.
