What is the resealing capability of pre-assembled septa?

PTFE/Silicone septa offer excellent resealing capabilities, withstanding at least 15 needle punctures without leakage. For applications requiring fewer punctures, pre-slit septa may be used to reduce coring.

Can Snap Top Vials be reused?

Yes, glass Snap Top Vials can be reused after proper cleaning and validation. The snap caps, however, are designed for single use to ensure a reliable seal.

What is the difference between pre-slit and non-pre-slit septa?

Non-pre-slit septa offer better resealing and lower risk of leakage; they are suitable for most injections. Pre-slit septa reduce the chance of core formation when using large-gauge needles and are often used in headspace or when a vacuum is present in the vial.
